In a major announcement on 20 July 2026, JioStar confirmed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will return as the host of the Hindi edition of Bigg Boss for its milestone 20th season. The show is scheduled to premiere in September 2026 as part of the biggest multi-language expansion in the franchise’s history.

JioStar revealed that six editions of Bigg Boss will launch simultaneously for the first time:

• Hindi: Hosted by Salman Khan
• Tamil: Hosted by Vijay Sethupathi
• Telugu: Hosted by Nagarjuna
• Kannada: Hosted by Kiccha Sudeepa
• Malayalam: Hosted by Mohanlal
• Bangla: Hosted by Sourav Ganguly (his debut as a Bigg Boss host)

All six versions will air on JioStar’s television network and stream on JioHotstar during the festive season. This marks Salman Khan’s continued association with the Hindi edition. He has been the face of the show since Season 4 and hosted the previous season (Bigg Boss 19), which concluded in December 2025.

A new multicoloured version of the iconic Bigg Boss eye logo has started circulating on official social media handles with the message “2 decades later… still the most eye-conic one.” Contestant announcements and promo schedules are still awaited, with filming for the Hindi edition expected to begin around mid-to-late September.
