Glaw Lake Becomes India's 101st Ramsar Site (First in Arunachal Pradesh)

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav announced that Glaw Lake in Arunachal Pradesh has been designated India's 101st Ramsar Site — also the state's first Ramsar Site.

  • Located inside the Kamlang Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary, Lohit district (Eastern Himalayas).
  • A pristine freshwater lake supporting over 150 tree species and 49 orchid species.
